Records players are cheap, plentiful and easy to come by. I understand if you're living in a shelter or your car; but if you can get yourself a Nintendo Switch, an IPad, a PS4 and a laptop, there is no reason why such a self-respecting Hip-Hop head shouldn't have a record player. Trust me, there's no reason to be intimidated by the various models, features, etc. Unless you're a hardcore DJ, you really don't need to know about types of drives, needles, etc.

Dope find on vinyl. I think that's Killaman 2006? Right? The other dude is Brother D.A. There was another song that went along with it called 5 in the Morning. Was on 152 Gang/IBC Entertainment. Not sure if there was ever an official record but I know they said "album coming soon" at the time.
ReplyDeleteAlso, sounds like they tried to embellish the track a bit as I don't remember the original having that roll at the beginning and this version is missing the "fuzz" at the beginning before the verse. It has a different break near the middle too. So it's definitely dope to have this instrumental version on vinyl too.
Your comment had be pretty confused at first... had to do some googling. I see it referred to "Killaman 2006" online now, but the record I've got just uses the title "How I Could Just Kill a Man" and doesn't have a B-side (152 Gang was a group Zee was promoting for a little while, though), just the different versions of "Kill a Man." I wonder id they're right about this being from 2006, though?
Deletebetter than the original ? what were you smoking!?
